Action World

We went to Action world on December the 3rd on Tuesday we were there for 2 hours. We had to eat first to play. The girls went on the water slide first we gotta play everywhere else the girls were on the water slide for an hour the boys went on the water slide as well. I went on the tightrope I went on the trampoline as well me and Archie went on the little cars. You had to wobble it to move I went on this one were you had to climb the ladder it was really hard because the wind was really strong. I enjoyed Action World.

The life cycle of corn

Two weeks ago we did a animation about t-shaped literacy  life cycle about plants. I did it with Ondreous Thea, and I. We did 150 pages I really liked learning  about plants. We all liked it.

electricity

On Thursday the  7th of  November we did maker space about electricity. For electricity we did 5 activities.  My favourite one was the balloon one. It was really fun, my group was Archie, Ondreous, Thea, Darcy, Tahuri and I. Tahuri’s  balloon colour was green Archie’s balloon was orange, my colour balloon was green, Thea’s balloon was red, Ondreous’ balloon was green and Dacry balloon was dark blue. We rubbed the balloons on our head then we pulled the balloon up slowly and then and our hair started coming up a mess. We tried to move the can also    

Make a space T-shaped literacy

Last Friday we had to design a healthy meal for our makerspace.
We made guacamole and a burrito and we used carrots,celery and  parsley from the garden.
We put in our burrito rice, smoked chicken,beans,tomatoes and cheese. And we made a stuffed capsicum.
We put the guacamole  in the capsicum. We had carrots and celery in it to.

Geometry

Kia ora my name is Pharell I go to Paihia school. I am a Year 5. The whole class had to make a geometry DLO. And  I learnt squares have the same size sides on each side.

NZ Weather

Maker Space

Kia ora I’m Pharell this is my DLO about makerspace. Me Archie and Alexander had to make a creation to keep our juicies solid. Alexander came up with a good idea so we stuck with it. We used fluff and polystyrene as insulation. We thought it wouldn’t work but it turned out that we were wrong.
Our jucies stayed solid because we used a lot of insulation.

Cybersmart

This is my DLO about are you in the right place at the right time online. We had to put pictures online, I put my drive and my gmail.

Time DLO

Last week I made a google drawing a about time DLO

. I learnt there are 24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour, 52 weeks in a year, 60 seconds in a minute.

Cross country

On Friday Paihia School went to the Bledisloe for cross country.  It started with the 5 year olds the boys started first then the girls went second. Then the 6 year olds went then the girls went second. There were sausages and nachos and juicies and cakes when it was my race. I was nervous we had to run up to the hill, to the 2nd gate and I come 3rd place, Archie came 4th place, Ondreous came 1st place.
