Incredible Athletics

 Over the past few weeks we have been participating in athletics. Athletics is a variety of different sports, shot put, high jump, long jump and sprints. I really enjoy all activities  as I like being outside. My favorite one is high jump as I am the king in this activity for my age group. What is your favorite one?

Incredible Tee ball

 In Te Ngahere we did Tee ball l. I really enjoyed it because you could run to the other base. In my group there was Tiana,Thea, Ebony, Amelia, Archie,Yamin, Brooklyn and Ayanda. I got a home run two times but I almost got three but I got out. It was easy because my team was hitting it on the ground so then it will be harder for the other team

Incredible Te Reo Maori

 In Te Ngahere we  have been doing some Te Reo maori. We have to do a weather report in maori. It is easy because we have been learning some maori. I really enjoy it because then I can learn how to speak maori well. My buddy is Thea and we have to write a script first. We are doing  animation about it

Shocking Cricket

 In Te Ngahere we did cricket. I really enjoyed it because we had a practice first then we did speed cricket. I learnt how to hit the ball really a long way.  It was hard because the ball kept going on the ground. We had to pick a buddy to get the ball for you and then it is their turn. I caught the ball three times.  Have you ever played cricket before? 

Unbelievable Art

 In Te Ngahere we have been doing art. For art we have been practising to draw continuous lines, blend with coloured pencils and use our shoulders to draw not our wrists. First we had a template and we had to draw over top of it. When we were confident we could start blending with coloured pencils. I really enjoyed it because it was fun to do. Stunning Rippa Rugby

 In Te Ngahere we have been doing some rippa rugby. Rippa rugby is  when you have tags on you and then you run to the try line but  if  you get ripped then tap and pass to the other player . We were learning how to rip the other players tags.  I really enjoyed it because it was easy to rip the other players tags because it was on their waist. The Incredible Assassin

 

In Te Ngahere we have been doing some movie making. We did our movie about a assassin. We had to practice and film lots of times to make it good. It was hard because our group wanted it to be good.  In my group there were Thea, Ondreous,Tiana, Archie and Tahuri. Tahuri was the king assassin and the good guys were Ondreous Archie and myself. Tahuri was trying to kill us with his powerful spear and Ondreous had a powerful sword and I had a powerful bow & arrow. Have you made a movie before?

 

Something That I really Love

 In Te Ngahere we have been doing some PE drills. We were learning how to catch the ball and learn how to do a step and  pass. I enjoy playing it because then I can practice catching the ball really well. It was hard to catch it because the ball was small. Have you ever done PE Drills?  

Tips About The Wonder Project

 Last week Te Ngahere had two rocket engineers come in and tell us about this thing called the Wonder Project.  The Wonder Project is learning about rockets flying in to the sky. There names where Troy and Gustavo.  We were learning about weight and drag. Weight is when it goes up and drag is down . We had to bring 2 bottles the bottles had to be 1.5 litres and some cardboard for the fins. We made a rocket with all of the materials we breng it was really fun making it because we were allowed to launch our rocket. Have you done similar?

Marvelous Tips To Take Care Of Your Chromebook

 In Te Ngahere we have been doing Kawa of Care. We had to do Kawa of Care because in our class we haven’t been looking after our Chromebooks. The kawa of care is an agreement between parents and students and schools to make sure you are going to be responsible with your Chromebook.  Archie, Reminis and I made an animation of our Kawa of Care. Amazing Te Reo Maori

 

In Te Ngahere we have been doing  Te reo maori we had to do 5 sports on the field.  I really enjoyed it because we had to do a script before we made our DLO and then we screencastify.  There was nothing I didn’t enjoy so I hope we can do it again soon. Do you like Te Reo Maori? 

 

                         Mosaic Art

In Te Ngahere we have been doing mosaic art. It is really fun because we did it on our Chromebooks. First we had to get a picture and then we had to put shapes on the picture. We use polyline to make the shapes. It was hard to use a chromebook because I have never done it on a chromebook before. Have you done a Mosaic art before?

In Te Ngahere we have been doing  basic facts and division. I really enjoyed  doing my basic facts and my division because it was hard at the start but when I got the hang of it I learnt all of them really easily.  Have you finished your basic facts and your division?  In Te Ngahere we have been doing PE for cross country training. We have to do fitness first then PE. On  Wednesdays and Thursday we do PE we do all kinds of PE like turbo touch, basketball, rugby , netball and soccer. I really enjoy doing PE because I am well coordinated and competitive. In the holidays we went to laser tag. It was really fun because I saw  Archie, his dad and his brother. We played on the arcade games and laser tag. We  did laser tag first because it looked cool and then the arcade games. We played bowling last .

In Te Ngahere we have been doing a poupou art. It was really fun we had to do a practice first. We did  our real one I started with a pencil then a vivid. A  poupou is a carving that  represents someone or something. It was hard to keep  drawing the line straight it was easy to do the designs.

In Te Ngahere we have been doing pe,  we played capture the flag this week. There were blue, red, green and non bibs teams.  I was in the blue term my friend Archie and Ondreous were in the green team Thea was in the non bib team. It was really fun it was tiring running back and forward. I thought it was hard to get the ball.Have you played capture the flag before?

In class today we did trick shots with a ping pong also it had to get in to the cup in 3 seconds and cardboard. In my group it was Thea ,Archie, Ondreous,Joseph and myself. Turbo Touch

On Friday  Te Ngahere played a new game, turbo touch. We had to get into groups of three to five. My group was Thea, Ondreous, Archie and Tahuri.  First we had to practice. I was really good at passing. The rules where, tap ball to start and restart after a touch has been made. Pass forwards, backwards, sideways, flick it on anything goes except kicks.  If you drop the ball then you have to handover to the other team. On defence give 2 meters or 2 seconds or give away a penalty. To score a touchdown two passes must have been made to open the active zone. No entering the active zone until it’s open or you have to hand it over defence or attack. We had to vs lots of groups.  Have you ever played turbo touch? 

Newspaper Challenge

In Te Ngahere we did the Newspaper challenge. We had to see how high your tower can go we got 3 pieces of newspaper we did practice first. I really enjoyed the newspaper challenge. Marks group went up the highest. Our one was small our one was only 1 metre tall. My group was really good at working together. In my group was Thea Jade and Fern.
